Test Devices and Leak Testing in Action - CETA exhibits at the Control 2024 trade fair

(PresseBox) (Hilden, Germany, )
For more than 35 years, CETA Testsysteme GmbH has been a solution provider and manufacturer of test devices with great success in the field of industrial leak and flow testing. Compressed air is used as the test medium. Several thousand CETA test devices are used worldwide for quality assurance in production lines.

This year, CETA Testsysteme GmbH will once again be exhibiting at the Control 2024 trade fair from 23. to 26.04.2024 in Stuttgart. Visitors should look forward to an interesting range of products and solutions, including a leak test stand for testing fuel tank caps for leaks. The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) has successfully accredited the expansion of the CETA calibration laboratory's scope of services. This results in an advantageous added value to the customer. Due to a high customer demand, the successful online seminar program for leak and flow testing will also be continued.

Completion of the current CETATEST x25 test device series

Two new products will be added to the current CETATEST x25 test device series in the second half of 2024: the CETATEST 625 mass flow tester (for detecting small leak rates in large-volume products) and the CETATEST 925 flow tester (for flow measurements up to 200 l/min). These test devices replace their predecessors and complete the current product range, which already includes the CETATEST 525, 725 and 825 leak tester series. With a comprehensive range of test devices, the right CETA test device can be found for almost any application. The complete and current CETATEST x25 product range, including the two new variants, will be presented at the Control 2024 trade fair.

Test stand for leak testing fuel tank caps

A highlight at the CETA stand is the live demonstration of leak testing of fuel tank caps in a test stand using the CETATEST 825 differential pressure tester.

The test stand was designed and manufactured by GERSTUNG Sondermaschinenbau GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach, Germany. GERSTUNG is a specialist in manufacturing processes with more than 100 years of company history. GERSTUNG and CETA have been successfully working together for many years.

In the fully automated test bench, fuel tank caps are tested for leaks using negative overpressure. The products are provided in a rotary table with 6 holding positions and placed on the test adapter by a robot. The leak test is carried out with the parameterised test sequence being fully controlled and evaluated by the CETA leak tester. Depending on the test result (OK / NOK), the products are transferred by robot to magazines with pick-up locations for good parts or bad parts.

Test devices with DAkkS-accredited calibration as standard

The accredited scope of services of the CETA calibration laboratory has included the measurand pressure since 2004 and has now been extended to include the measurand flow of gases. The accreditation of the CETA calibration laboratory (D-K-19566) in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 was carried out by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).

This is an advantage to the customer. All leak and flow testers, pressure manometers and calibration standards are delivered with an internationally recognized DAkkS-accredited calibration certificate at no extra cost.

Recalibrations with a DAkkS-accredited calibration certificate can be carried out on site at the customer's location and in the permanent laboratory at the CETA site.

Practice-oriented CETA online seminars

To support users, CETA Testsysteme GmbH is once again offering free practice-oriented online seminars. The seminars cover the basics and applications of leak and flow testing in an industrial production process. The seminars are offered in German and English. The contents of the seminars including dates and registration options can be found on the CETA homepage (www.cetatest.com).
