Neue Kamera erhöht Verkehrssicherheit bei autonomen Fahrzeugen bei schlechter Sicht

Bei autonomen Fahrzeugen muss die automatische Erkennung von Hindernissen lückenlos funktionieren - vor allem auch bei schlechten Sichtverhältnissen. Für mehr Verkehrssicherheit bei autonom fahrenden Fahrzeugen sorgt eine neue Technologie, die Forschende an der Universität Ulm entwickelt haben. Mit einer neuen DHTD-LiDAR Technologie ist es möglich, wesentlich genauere Daten zu gewinnen, so dass Hindernisse auch bei schlechter Sicht detektiert werden.

Fusion aus Thermoformen und 3D-Druck eröffnet neue Anwendungen

Ein neues Verfahren kombiniert die Verfahren Thermoformen und 3D-Druck. Durch diese Kombination ergeben sich völlig neue Anwendungen. So können durch diese vom IKT von der Universität Stuttgart entwickelte Verfahrenskombination Thermoform-Bauteile nachträglich mit 3D-gedruckten Anbauteilen funktionalisiert werden. Ein weiterer Vorteil dieses Verfahrens ist eine mögliche Wiederverwendung von Kunststoff.
