Als erster deutscher Internet Service Provider (ISP) bietet die toplink-plannet GmbH in Karlsruhe Unterstützung für die neue Nationale Initiative für Internet-Sicherheit (NIFIS), die die Interxion Telecom GmbH (Frankfurt am Main) und die Certcom AG (Dortmund) mit Unterstützung des Verbandes der deutschen Internetwirtschaft, eco Forum e.V. (Berlin/Köln) gestartet haben. Ziel ist es, der deutschen Wirtschaft im Rahmen einer Sicherheitsmatrix sowohl Dienste für die Prävention als auch für den Notfall bereitzustellen. Als erster ISP bietet toplink-plannet den zentralen Präventionsservice der Matrix, einen bundesweiten Dienst zur Online-Datensicherung ohne Übertragungskosten an. Unternehmen aus ganz Deutschland können damit Kopien ihrer Datenbestände und Rechnerkonfigurationen im Hochsicherheitszentrum
