Ethernet-Protokollwandler TCP/IP - SINEC H1

November 2002. Seit dem Einzug von TCP/IP in die industrielle Automatisierung, findet man in der Ethernet-Vernetzung immer mehr heterogene Installationen von Netzwerkprotokollen vor. Zunächst wurde das Protokoll SINEC H1 von Siemens genutzt. Etwa seit 1995 wird TCP/IP in den Produktionshallen, Logistikzentren, Energie- und Wasserverteilungen und in Umweltschutzanlagen als Kommunikationsprotokoll verwendet. Für Planung und Instandhaltung stellt sich daher vermehrt die Aufgabe, Durchgängigkeiten zwischen den Protokollen zu schaffen.

Der Ethernet-Protokollwandler echochange löst genau diese Aufgabe. Er konvertiert das H1-Protokoll sowie das "ISO-on-TCP"-Protokoll (RFC1006) in das Internet-Protokoll TCP/IP.
Die Ethernetkopplung der SPS-Welt an Rechner mit UNIX, LINUX und Windows kann also über Socket-Verbindungen
