Powerdesk unveils integrated Desktop PC Designs at CeBIT 2006
(PresseBox) (Hanover, )Developed to combine the very latest personal computing technology with a sleek and stylish piece of furniture, Powerdesk was among the most talked about products at last year's show, consistently heading the list of CeBIT's top twenty products.
Powerdesk takes the traditional PC off the desktop and integrates it into a practical, adaptable and design-focused workstation. All the controls, including a fully integrated CD/DVD drive and USB ports, are embedded within the worksurface.
The desk uses industry-standard, fully-upgradeable PCs from major manufacturers such as Dell and HP which come with the manufacturer's onsite warranty. Powerdesk also offers a high performance sound system, built-in to the design of the desk, to eliminate trailing wires and cumbersome grey boxes.
Powerdesk has had an exciting 12 months since its appearance at last year's CeBIT show. The company has extended its range of desks and the business has seen huge growth in demand for integrated desktop PCs across a number of sectors, including schools, hotels and business and home users.
Powerdesk will be showcasing three designs at CeBIT, including:
Barcelona - a new sleek white design made from wood which is ideal for style-conscious homes
Singapore - recently launched classic antique style desk suitable for the home or office
Adelaide - practical desk with motorised, push-button height adjustment (ranging from 24 inches to 52 inches) which allows children and adults to sit comfortably at a perfect working height
David Gilbert, founder of Powerdesk, commented: "We have combined the latest technology with innovative design and have created the world's first truly integrated desktop PC. We received such a positive response from CeBIT last year, with our number one ranking in the top twenty products on show, and we are really looking forward to returning to showcase our latest designs".
Some models of Powerdesk are available in tough and durable Dupont Corian which is robust, easy to clean and has a 10 year warranty. Powerdesk also offer a bespoke service for customers who want a desk built to their own specifications. The design service offers hundreds of colours and patterns and products can be built to meet individual requirements - literally any size, shape and PC specification.
Powerdesk will be exhibiting at stand F87 where David Gilbert will be on hand to talk about the products and the company.
