TENTE presents its first recycled castor for medical technology

The innovation for sustainable, ergonomic mobility in healthcare

(PresseBox) (Wermelskirchen, )
With the new Levina care evoTENTE, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of castors and wheels for the medical sector, is presenting a genuine innovation for sustainable mobility in healthcare at MEDICA 2025 in Düsseldorf. Levina care evo is the company’s first recycled castor – and an important milestone on the path towards greater resource conservation and climate protection in medical technology.

Individual components of the castor are made from up to 85% recycled material, with an overall recycled content of up to 20%*. The solution uses high-quality recyclates – without compromising on quality, performance or design.

Sustainability meets proven quality

The sustainable version belongs to the well-established Levina product family and is based on Levina care, a castor that is widely used and trusted in the medical sector. It offers the same proven advantages that TENTE customers have valued for years: smooth and quiet operation and maximum safety.

The fork is made from 85% recycled polyamide, while the wheel body and cover cap each consist of 50% recycled polypropylene, half of which originates from post-consumer waste and half from industrial waste.

Visually, Levina care evo does not differ from the standard version

“With the Levina care evo, we demonstrate that sustainability and quality are not contradictory,” emphasises Tanja KlugmannGlobal Head of Product Management. “We create solutions that meet the requirements of modern medical technology while actively contributing to resource conservation, waste reduction and a lower CO₂ footprint.”

World premiere at MEDICA 2025

The new castor will celebrate its world premiere at MEDICA 2025 in Düsseldorf. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Levina care evo live for the first time and discover its sustainable performance first-hand.
