- New eccentric press enables Pacific Precision to produce lightweight aluminum components at scale for the automotive industry
- Advanced press engineering and automation create an efficient, more sustainable production chain
- Commissioning is a strategic milestone as Jiangsu Pacific Precision Forging looks to meet rising demand for lightweight, high-strength components, driven by CO₂ reduction efforts and growth in electromobility
The MP 3150 forging press sets a new standard in aluminum forging. Fully sensor-monitored, it features a frequency-controlled main drive and a hydraulically-actuated clutch and brake system for precise, reliable operation. The scope of supply also included an integrated, fully automated servo-electric walking-beam system, spray systems, and a bolster-changing cart for rapid automated bolster and process changes. Together, these systems offer precision, maximum reliability, and an efficient, sustainable production chain. The new advanced press positions Jiangsu Pacific Precision Forging to broaden its capabilities from steel into aluminum forging.
Global demand for aluminum parts continues to grow significantly, driven by CO₂ reduction targets and the rapid expansion of electromobility. Forged aluminum enables the production of lightweight, high-strength, and dimensionally precise components used across automotive applications—improving vehicle efficiency, crash performance, and overall safety. This is because forged aluminum parts, such as body structures, suspension components, and engine parts, reduce vehicle weight and absorb energy during collisions.
