Qlar combines yard management and weighing technology with LOGiQ

Hall 4, Stand A68 / LogiMAT 2025: Fully automated for efficient and secure logistics processes

(PresseBox) (Darmstadt, )

Hall 4, Stand A68

At the annual intralogistics exhibition LogiMAT 2025 in Germany, Qlar, formerly Schenck Process, is presenting its yard management system LOGiQ. The cloud-based software solution automates all logistics processes in industrial yards and combines the weighing of bulk and general cargo materials with efficient loading operations. The technology is used primarily in the cement and steel industries but is also suitable for other production areas.

The yard management system LOGiQ automatically controls all traffic on the company premises – from the entry of authorized trucks to their exit. It monitors the site entrance, carries out weighing processes, ensures correct loading and captures all relevant data in real time. This information is integrated into an ERP system, such as SAP, to provide up-to-date sales and administration data. LOGiQ also enables the secure integration of external gateways, which means that all logistical processes on the yard can be coordinated in the best possible way. If required, LOGiQ can also help capture environmental data, allowing businesses to calculate factors such as their carbon footprint.

LOGiQ-package includes multilingual registration terminals

The access to the yard is managed using the user-friendly and intuitive LOGiQ registration terminals. They are available in several languages. Truck drivers can operate these terminals independently and record their weighing processes as well as all steps of the loading or unloading process.

Thanks to the automated process, no manual handling by personnel is required on the factory premises – a concept known as “zero-touch fulfilment”. This reduces the susceptibility of processes for errors and increases safety. In addition, the need for personnel on the premises is reduced due to the automation. The responsible employees and support staff at Qlar also have the option of accessing all collected data regardless of their location and thus provide support in real time, if needed.

A recent innovation is the seamless integration of rail freight transport into LOGiQ. The dynamic legal-for-trade MULTIRAIL technology registers the weight information of wagons as they pass over the scales and provides the results in LOGiQ for easy processing. Using the “drag and drop” principle, entire train formations can be assigned to transport orders in next to no time.

At LogiMAT 2025 in Stuttgart, visitors to Hall 4 (Stand A68) can find out how Qlar is using LOGiQ to increase efficiency and safety in yard management. The trade fair is open from March 11 to 13.
