Schneller Spurwechsel im DWDM-Netz mit SKYLANE Transceivern

Mit den kompatiblen "Tunable XFP" von SKYLANE ist ein weiterer Schritt in Richtung flexibler Netze möglich. So kommt nun zur Kompatibilität auch die freie Wahl der Wellenlänge hinzu.

Mit den Tunable XFP von SKYLANE können nun Wellenlängen von 1528nm bis 1568nm nach ITU-Grid (50GHz) frei gewählt werden und kompatibel für nahezu alle Switch- und Routerprodukte geliefert werden.
Durch die freie Wahl der Wellenlänge ergeben sich schnelle Reaktionszeiten im Fehlerfall (eine Wellenlänge muss ersetzt werden) oder aber auch die Freiheit an wechselnden Standorten flexibel die verfügbaren Wellenlängen nutzen zu können. Auf der Protokollebene stehen SONET, Ethernet und Fibre Channel mit Datenraten von 9,953 bis 11,35 Gbps zur Verfügung. Für Tests steht der XFI Loopback Mode zur Verfügung.
