Laser diode module for machine vision applications

With the ilumVISION industrial IMM Photonics presents a further series in the field of laser diode modules for machine vision applications.

The laser diode modules are set to a fixed focal distance, which can be adjusted to customer requirements by the manufacturer. The lasers boast either homogeneous line optics or DOE (diffractive optical element). The DOE can be used to map patterns such as multi-lines, crosses, dot matrices, viewfinders or concentric circles.

The laser diode module may be digitally modulated from DC to 500 kHz. Positive or negative analogue modulation is offered upon request.

The modules are currently available with a wavelength of 660 nm and an output power of up to 85 mW with the homogeneous line and up to 65 mW when using the DOEs.

The durable design and integrated electronic protection circuitry allow for use in harsh industrial environments. Construction and electronic protection measures protect the sensitive components from damage caused by ESD up to level 4 in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2. Its drag chain compatible cable makes it a reliable component in mobile systems.
