EVO cut: the ultimate cable tie cutter now with more options

Smart cable management specialist HellermannTyton has enhanced its EVO cut cable tie removal tool. The upgrade to this unique professional tool provides users with greater flexibility, allowing them to cut cable ties precisely at the head or strap while also ensuring safe removal of specialized KR-Series cable ties from wire harnesses.

The upgrade from three to eight nose pieces for the EVO cut provides greater flexibility for users looking to reduce the risk of damage to expensive wiring harnesses during maintenance and modification. Three new nose pieces allow precise cutting at the tie head, while two additional nose pieces extend its functionality for KR-Series strap cutting.

"The EVO Cut is a game changer in cable management because it dramatically reduces the risk of damaging wiring insulation – something that often happens with side cutters or knives”, said Jasmina Prill, Tool Systems Product Manager at HellermannTyton. “In response to customer feedback, we've added five new nose pieces to make the tool even more adaptable to different industrial cable tie applications".

With the correct nose piece in place, the EVO cut’s integrated shearing blades cut only the strap or head of the cable tie, protecting the underlying cable insulation. This ensures that users can safely and accurately remove cable ties at any point along the bundle, avoiding inadvertent damage to surrounding components.

Designed for professionals in automotive, aerospace and industrial applications, the EVO cut is ideal for situations where maintaining cable integrity is critical. It can be used on inside and outside serrated plastic cable ties on flexible and rigid bundles.

Key EVO cut features:
  • Safe cable tie removal without damaging cable insulation
  • Eight interchangeable nose pieces for various tie sizes
  • Versatile cutting options on the strap or the head
  • Ergonomic, lightweight design for easy one-handed operation
  • Environmentally responsible packaging made from recyclable cardboard.
