HARTING opens new technology center in the ‘Indian Silicon Valley’

(PresseBox) (Espelkamp/ Bangalore, India, )
The HARTING Technology Group is continuing to expand its presence in India: following the establishment of a sales office in Chennai in 2005 and the opening of a production plant in 2022, a technology center focusing on research and development has now been inaugurated. The aim is to meet the demand for advanced connector solutions in the region in a customer-oriented manner and to meet the growing requirements in the Asian market.

"We want to become a global company" is an important part of HARTING's vision, which has been anchored in the company's mission statement since 1996. Now, a 7,000 square metre technology center has been officially opened in Bangalore, popularly known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’. The goal: to offer talented individuals from the technology sector a platform to drive forward the development of connectivity solutions for various industries such as manufacturing, transport and telecommunications. "We are consistently pushing ahead with our internationalisation. With our latest opening in India, we are living up to our motto ‘In the Region for the Region’ and at the same time taking another step towards becoming a global player for connector and cable solutions," explained Philip Harting, CEO of the HARTING Technology Group, during the opening ceremony. HARTING is relying on a dedicated, well-trained core team for the Innovation Hub in India, as well as an additional team for global IT solutions. Furthermore, training and development opportunities will be offered to aspiring engineers and technology specialists. In addition to its headquarters in Chennai, HARTING India has further sales offices in Bangalore, Pune and Noida.

Alongside Philip Harting, Mabel Low, Managing Director HARTING Singapore and APAC, and Jacob Chandy, Managing Director HARTING India, also took part in the opening ceremony.

"We are very excited to establish our technology center in Bangalore, a city known for its dynamic technical ecosystem and skilled workforce," said Jacob Chandy. "This facility will not only expand our R&D capabilities, but also strengthen our collaboration with local partners and customers. We believe that innovation is the key to staying ahead in today's fast-paced market, and this center will play a crucial reel in our mission to deliver high-quality connection solutions."
