The GBA Group acquires a majority stake in the Italian company Complife Italia S.r.l. (Complife), thereby becoming a leading laboratory service provider in the European cosmetics sector. With this acquisition, the GBA Group marks an important new milestone in its expansion strategy and establishes the foundation for developing another business segment with global growth potential.

Headquartered in Garbagnate Milanese, Complife Italia S.r.l. was formed in 2017 through the merger of the two companies Farcos and Farcoderm. Today, with more than 20 sites in Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Romania, South Africa and China, Complife serves clients from the cosmetics industry as well as the medical devices and nutraceuticals sectors. Its core services include safety assessments, efficacy and stability testing, as well as tailored regulatory consulting.

For the GBA Group, the merger with Complife is of great strategic importance. By adding 20 new sites with experts and a broad service portfolio in the fields of cosmetics, medical devices and nutraceuticals, the GBA Group is consistently strengthening its footprint as one of the leading laboratory and consulting service providers with a life sciences focus,” says Steffen Walter, CEO GBA Group. “By integrating the international Complife network, the GBA Group is further expanding its position in Europe and opening up exciting opportunities for growth in the USA, Asia and Africa.

Massimo Valente, CEO Complife, explains: “With the GBA Group, we have chosen a strong international partner at our side, enabling us to access new markets even faster and expand our service portfolio. In the meanwhile, Complife will bring its extensive experience of the cosmetic field and guide the expansion of the GBA Group’s activities in key selected markets. We are very much looking forward to working with our new colleagues.
