GBA Group Acquires Hydrologische Untersuchungsstelle Salzburg GmbH

(PresseBox) (Hamburg/Salzburg, )
The GBA Group’s existing business activities in Austria will now be expanded with the acquisition of the company Hydrologische Untersuchungsstelle Salzburg GmbH (HUS). Working together under the name GBA Austria Environment, our customers can now look forward to receiving an even broader spectrum of services in the fields of laboratory testing, engineering services, and technical monitoring of sediment, waste, and water. By networking our sites in Salzburg, Vienna, Leoben, and Graz, customers throughout the entire country of Austria can benefit from competent solutions from one local source.

HUS also provides long-term expertise and solution-oriented consulting on all issues related to water management. Their wide spectrum of analytical services includes routine analysis, special analysis, expert assessments, planning, consulting, and inspection in the fields of water-supply technology, wastewater technology, and water ecology. The fact that HUS has many long-term business relationships with customers in both the private and public sectors testifies to the strong level of trust the company has earned over time.

Ralf Murzen, Managing Director of Environmental Division of the GBA Group, states: “With HUS joining the GBA Group, we have acquired a market leader for numerous matters in the field of water management. Furthermore, with the addition of the Salzburg location, we have improved the geographic availability of our entire service portfolio and thus also improved the service that we provide our customers throughout Austria. We are looking forward to working together with our new colleagues and to the mutual exchange of know-how.”

Reinhold Haider, founder of HUS, adds: “GBA Austria Environment is the ideal partner for us to continue building upon the success we have had over the last decades. With this merger, we have ensured the desired continuity both for our customers and within our organization. At the same time, by gaining access to the network and the skills of the GBA Group, a diverse array of opportunities for further development also emerges.”
