Das CFast 100 vereint zwei etablierte Industriestandards in einem Speicherdevice. CFast basiert auf dem CompactFlash Formfaktor, ist aber mit einem SATA-II Interface ausgestattet und kombiniert damit das Beste aus zwei Welten: eine bewährten Formfaktor und eine performante 3Gb/s Schnittstelle.Die CFast Karte erreicht damit einen Datendurchsatz von bis zu 100MB/s und ist wie jedes SATA Device Hot-Swap-fähig.

Ein weiteres Key Feature ist der äußerst niedrige Stromverbrauch von maximal 150mA.CFast 100 ist wahlweise mit SLC Flash Speicher in Kapazitäten von 2 bis 16GB und als MLC Variante für leseintensive Applikationen mit höherem Speicherbedarf in Kapazitäten von 4 bis 32GB verfügbar.

Die SLC Variante ist auch im erweiterten Temperaturbereich von -40 bis +85 lieferbar.Statisches Wear Leveling, Bad Block Management und Error Correction Code (ECC) sind bei InnoDisk Produkten, die für industriellen Einsatz konzipiert sind, Standard.

Die Unterstützung von SMART Monitoring Funktionen, die Informationen über den Zustand des Flash Speichers und die zu erwartende Lebensdauer liefern, ist für das nächste Quartal vorgesehen.

Für die Integration der Karte auf dem Board bietet APdate! geeignete Leiterplatten - Steckverbinder und Test - Adapter.
