X-FAB Silicon Foundries, die weltweit führende analog/mixed-signal Halbleiterfoundry mit Expertise in sogenannten "More than Moore"-Technologien, gab heute die Verfügbarkeit von fünf neuen Technologieoptionen für ihre 0,6 Mikrometer BiCMOS-Technologie bekannt. Zwei dieser Optionen bieten einzigartige Funktionen, die besonders für den rasch wachsenden Markt der Optoelektronik interessant sind. Die technologischen Neuerungen beinhalten zum einen das innovative und kostengünstige Light-Shield-Modul, geeignet für optische Applikationen und effizienten Schutz des ICs. Zum anderen bietet X-FAB ein Blue-PIN-Modul an, welches als Basis für eine neuartige PIN-Fotodiode dient.
