Importance of Russian activities grows
With the new website Wintershall is underlining its long-term and successful partnership with Russia as well as the steadily growing importance of its Russian business. In addition to the shareholdings in the Nord Stream Baltic Sea Pipeline and the joint ventures is Russia - Yuzhno Russkoye, Achimgaz and Wolgodeminoil - other major new projects with Gazprom have recently been initiated: the participation in the offshore section of the South Stream gas pipeline through the Black Sea and the joint development of two further blocks of the Achimov formation in the West Siberian Urengoy field.
"Wintershall has been a reliable and competent partner for Russia in the oil and gas sector," Anna Bungarten, press spokesperson for the Russian media explained. "With the new Russian website we now wish to emphasize our activities in the 20-year partnership even more clearly."
Russian media representatives, business partners and interested members of the public can now inform themselves about activities in the E&P sector, current projects and the latest news. Wintershall provides comprehensive information on the company, the future of the energy supply and the growing activities in Russia with a multimedia website containing archive material, photos, video images and press information in Russian.
All the locations where Wintershall is active are presented in an illustrative world map - which also contains extensive information on Wintershall's projects conducted as part of its partnership with Russia. A quick and intuitive short menu in the topic bar guides visitors directly to the page contents.
The design of the new Wintershall website, which was developed together with the Hamburg online agency Paints Multimedia GmbH, focuses on the interactive and multimedia presentation of the contents.
