Verbundnetz Gas Aktiengesellschaft (VNG) has been trading successfully at the National Balancing Point (NBP) of the British network operator National Grid since 7th September 2010. Registration as a trader at the NBP was preceded by the granting of a licence from the British regulator OFGEM. The NBP in the UK is the most important gas trading hub in Europe. "This Registration is another major step in intensifying VNG's gas trading activities in Europe," Michael Ludwig, VNG Executive Board Member for Gas Procurement, said.
