Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) hat sein Angebot an optoelektronischen Bauelementen um einen 3-mm- (T1) Infrarotsender erweitert, der ähnliche Leistungscharakteristiken bietet wie die besten 5-mm-Sender.

Der neue 940-nm-Infrarotsender VSLB3940 bietet bei 100 mA eine axiale Strahlungsintensität von 65 mW/sr und eine optische Leistung von 40 mW - das bedeutet im Vergleich zu dem größeren 5-mm-Typ TSAL6200 eine etwa 8% bessere Performance bei 40% kleineren Abmessungen.

Durch seine kleinen Abmessungen ist der VSLB3940 eine ideale Lösung für kompakte IR-Fern-steuerungen, wie sie zur Bedienung von Digitalkameras, Notebook-PCs und MP3/Video-Playern verwendet werden.
