Der Kommunikationsstandard 5G wird unsere Welt epochal verändern. Als erstes vorausschauendes Netz, das selbstständig steuern und regeln kann, ermöglicht es jederzeit und überall die Echtzeit-Vernetzung von Milliarden von Endgeräten im Internet der Dinge. In nur wenigen Jahren wird das taktile Internet neue Märkte für heute noch undenkbare Anwendungen öffnen. So prognostiziert McKinsey für das Internet der Dinge bis 2025 ein Marktpotenzial von rund 11 Billionen Dollar und damit mehr als ein Zehntel der globalen Wirtschaftsleistung. Doch ohne den Turbo-Kommunikationsstandard 5G wird es weder das Internet der Dinge noch smarte Zukunftsanwendungen wie Industrie 4.0, Smart Home oder autonome Mobilität geben.
