(PresseBox) (Haar bei München/Ingolstadt, )
Effective May 1st, 2026, Softing Automotive has acquired the business of WEIDITEC GmbH in Ingolstadt, thereby further expanding its activities in the automotive sector.

With this move, Softing Automotive is not only expanding its presence with its own offices and workshops in Ingolstadt but is also further expanding its existing portfolio with additional expertise and technologies in the field of automotive electronics, particularly for development, testing, and integration. This includes solutions for the analysis and validation of control units as well as tools for vehicle communication and data processing. The offering is complemented by engineering services and customized software and hardware solutions.

Armin Baumann, future managing director of Softing Automotive’s Ingolstadt facility, comments: “The integration of WEIDITEC’s business, with its approximately 20 employees, opens up new opportunities for us to support our customers in the Ingolstadt area even more comprehensively with regard to current and future requirements in vehicle development and validation.”

By combining our respective strengths, we create additional synergies that promote both the further development of existing solutions and the exploration of new application areas. At the same time, Softing Automotive is strengthening its market position with its new location in Ingolstadt and underscoring its commitment to providing innovative and reliable solutions across the entire value chain.

As a technology partner in the automotive industry, Softing Automotive has grown steadily over the past three years. The acquisition of WEIDITEC’s business also creates a solid foundation for further growth and even closer collaboration with local customers and partners, with the goal of actively shaping technological developments and creating sustainable value.
