Im Verlauf des Vortrags wird dargestellt, welchen Einfluss werbestrategische Kommunikation auf Social Network Seiten (SNS) wie Facebook und StudiVZ hat. Dabei wird zum einen auf die von den Usern selbst verwendeten, d.h. in ihren Profilen gezeigten Inhalte eingegangen, zum anderen wird gezeigt, wie sich Firmen dabei die Bedürfnisse der Konsumenten zunutze machen, um ihre Inhalte entsprechend zu platzieren. Der erste Teil geht auf die während der Adoleszenz zentrale Entwicklungsaufgabe, der Ausbildung einer eigenen Identität, ein. An Beispielen werden die sozialisatorischen Potenziale, die SNS hier für Heranwachsende bieten, herausgearbeitet. Im nächsten Schritt werden Bedeutung und Variationsmöglichkeiten der Kommunikationsformen auf SNS dargestellt,
