Bremer Universitätsmedaille für Robert Lemmen

Für seine besonderen Verdienste um die Universität Bremen erhielt der Stadtplaner Robert Lemmen am 30. April 2009 die Bremer Universitätsmedaille. Gleichzeitig wurde er in den Ruhestand verabschiedet. In seiner Funktion als Referatsleiter für Stadtplanung und Bauordnung beim Senator für Umwelt, Bau, Verkehr und Europa hat er die städtebauliche Entwicklung der Universität und des Technologieparks wesentlich mitgeprägt. Bereits seit 1965 beschäftigte sich Lemmen mit der Planung der Bremer Alma Mater. Von Beginn an hat Robert Lemmen daran mitgewirkt, dass die Universität, zunächst als architektonische Großform am Stadtrand errichtet, immer mehr in den Bremer Stadtzusammenhang eingebunden wurde.
