TechnoTrend WLAN-TV bringt DVB-S ins Wireless-LAN

Pünktlich zur CeBIT 2005 stellt die TechnoTrend AG ihre neueste Innovation vor: TT-WLAN TV ist ein digitaler Satellitenreceiver mit integriertem WLAN-Modul. Das Produkt ermöglicht drahtlose TV-Unterhaltung an Notebooks und PCs mit WLAN-Funktion.

Drahtlose TV-Verbindungen in den eigenen vier Wänden waren bislang nur mit Hilfe separater Funkverbindungen sowie zusätzlicher Sender und Empfänger möglich. Das vorgestellte Gerät in der Größe eines Modems speist DVB-S-Daten in das WLAN im üblichen IEEE 802.11g Standard ein. Zum drahtlosen TV-Genuss an WLAN-fähigen Notebooks und PCs ist einzig noch die mitgelieferte Software nötig.
