Humanoide Roboter nehmen an RoboCup-Weltmeisterschaft teil

In Kürze machen sich die Darmstadt Dribblers vom Fachbereich Informatik der TU Darmstadt auf dem Weg nach Suzhou in China. Dort findet am kommenden Mittwoch, den 16. Juli 2008, der Anpfiff zur 12. RoboCup-Weltmeisterschaft für autonome, Fußball spielende Roboter statt. Das Finale steigt dann am Sonntag, den 20. Juli 2008.

Die humanoiden Roboter der Darmstadt Dribblers waren beim RoboCup 2007 erst in einem hochdramatischen Viertelfinalspiel nach Verlängerung gegen den späteren Weltmeister NimbRo ausgeschieden. In diesem Jahr präsentieren die Wissenschaftler der TU Darmstadt zusammen mit ISRA VISION AG und den Freunden der TU zu Darmstadt e.V. erstmals ihre beiden neuesten Roboterentwicklungen
