Um in der Fertigung prozesssicher arbeiten zu können, benötigt man zuverlässige Informationen über den Bearbeitungsprozess ebenso wie über die verwendeten Werkzeuge. Der NC-Programmierer braucht 3D-Werkzeugmodelle zur realitätsnahen Simulation seines Bearbeitungsprozesses, denn nur so lassen sich mögliche Kollisionen frühzeitig erkennen und Risiken in der Fertigung vermeiden. "Der Programmierer kann den Fertigungsprozess optimal auf das Werkzeug hin anpassen", sagt Dr. Heinz Fink, Director International Sales bei TDM Systems. "Sichere Werkzeugdaten stehen schnell zur Verfügung, die Arbeitsvorbereitung und die Bearbeitungszeit verkürzt sich und nicht zuletzt erhöht sich die Prozesssicherheit."
Der Schlüssel für CATIA V5-Anwender dazu heißt: "TDM ToolGraphicBuilder CAAV5 Based" oder kurz TGB.
