VERITAS Software (Nasdaq: VRTS) erweitert die Unterstützung seiner führenden Storage Management- und Clustering-Produkte um Intel Itanium 2-Plattformen unter Red Hat Linux 3.0. Neben VERITAS OpForce sind auch VERITAS Foundation Suite 2.2 und VERITAS Cluster Server 2.2 für die Itanium-Architektur unter Linux erhältlich. Damit verfolgt VERITAS weiterhin sein Ziel, Linux für den Enterprise-Einsatz fit zu machen und erweitert seine breite Linux-Unterstützung um Architekturen auf Basis von IA-32 und Itanium.
