Neue Turbine für Müllheizkraftwerk - Verdreifachung der Effizienz

Der umfassende Ausbau des Bremer Müllheizkraftwerks (MHKW) im Stadtteil Findorff nähert sich einem Meilenstein. Ein entscheidender Schritt bei der Modernisierung war das heutige Einheben der neuen, 130 Tonnen schweren Turbine. Die stählerne Maschine wurde in der Nacht vom 12. auf den 13. Dezember mit einem Schwerlastkraftwagen vom Anleger im Hafen zum Standort des MHKW in Findorff transportiert und dort heute mit Hilfe einer speziellen Schienenkonstruktion in das neue Kraftwerksgebäude gezogen. Gebaut wurde die Turbine in den Oberhausener MAN-Werken. Das MHKW wird als Ergebnis des Umbaus bei gleicher Menge Abfall künftig mit höheren Temperaturen und höherem Druck knapp 50 Megawatt installierte
