European Commission launches expiry review on solar trade measures

On Saturday 5th December, the European Commission announced the formal initiation of an expiry review into the trade defence measures in place on solar modules and cells imported from China. This means that the Minimum Import Price (MIP) and duties are extended for a maximum period of 15 months, while the European Commission conducts a review of the situation. In March this year SolarPower Europe's Board unanimously agreed to call on the European Commission to end the trade defence measures this year.
