Der Verein AGQM Biodiesel - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitätsmanagement Biodiesel e. V. - wurde 1999 als Initiative zur Qualitätssicherung von Biodiesel von führenden Herstellern und Händlern gegründet.Neben der Qualitätssicherung deckt die AGQM Biodiesel alle relevanten Themenbereiche des in Europa führenden alternativen Kraftstoffs von der Produktion bis hin zur Anwendung ab. Mit der breiten Einführung ihres Qualitätsmanagement-Systems hat die AGQM wesentlich zum hohen Qualitätsstandard von Biodiesel auf dem deutschen Markt beigetragen, und sie sorgt mit vielfältigen Aktivitäten dafür, dass Biodiesel seine herausragende Bedeutung behält.
