Von der Erdos Junzheng Energy & Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. hat SMS Siemag den Auftrag zur Lieferung von vier Elektroreduktionsöfen zur Produktion von Kalzium-Karbid erhalten. Die Öfen mit einer Leistung von jeweils 46,5 MW sind zurzeit die größten dieses Typs in China. Sie werden jährlich rund 500.000 t qualitativ hochwertiges Kalzium-Karbid für den lokalen Markt produzieren. Die Inbetriebnahme der Anlagen ist für 2012 geplant. Standort wird Wuhai in der Inneren Mongolei sein.

Der Lieferumfang von SMS Siemag umfasst neben Basis- und Detailengineering für die gesamte Ofenanlage die Lieferung der Elektrodenstränge, der Hochstrombahnen, der Hydraulikanlagen sowie die Automatisierungstechnik.
