Den Gassensor smartMODUL-FLOW von smartGAS Mikrosensorik gibt es jetzt auch in einer Version, mit der sich Konzentrationen von Kohlenmonoxid (CO) im Bereich von 0 bis 2.000 ppm messen lassen. Das farb- und geruchlose Gas ist in höheren Dosen tödlich; In der Industrie, wo CO in verschiedenen Prozessen eingesetzt wird, gilt ein MAK-Wert von 30 ppm.

CO entsteht unter anderem bei der unvollständigen Verbrennung von fossilen Brennstoffen. Die sensorische Erfassung der CO-Konzentration im Abgasstrom gibt somit Auskunft über die Verbrennung und ermöglicht eine Optimierung der Prozesse.
