Imageschaden für Windenergie-Branche befürchtet

In Folge des TV-Beitrags der Sendung Panorama "Neodym: das schmutzige Geheimnis sauberer Windräder" befürchtet die Geschäftsführung der seebaWIND Service GmbH, herstellerunabhängiges Dienstleistungsunternehmen für Windenergieanlagen, einen Imageschaden für die Branche. Panorama berichtete in seiner Sendung vom 27. April, dass Windkraftanlagen zum Teil mit permanent erregten Generatoren ausgerüstet sind, bei deren Herstellung Neodym zum Einsatz kommt. Der Abbau dieser seltenen Erde gehe mit starker Umweltzerstörung einher. Diplom-Ingenieur Holger Hämel, Geschäftsführer von seebaWIND, hält die Berichterstattung für unausgewogen und somit irreführend:
