Die neue HighLight SQD-Option für Coherent Faserlaser der HighLight-Serie bietet Schneid- und Schweißsystemintegratoren eine schlüsselfertige, einfach zu bedienende und kostengünstige Möglichkeit zur Implementierung der Prozessüberwachung. HighLight SQD besteht aus Prozesssensoren, die direkt in die QD-Faserlaserstecker von Coherent integriert sind und reflektierte Laserleistung und Prozessemissionen im sichtbaren Bereich erfassen. Diese Signale, die entweder in analoger oder digitaler CAN-Bus-Form (bei einer Abtastrate von 2 kHz) bereitgestellt werden, können zur Erkennung wesentlicher Prozessereignisse eingesetzt werden. Beim Schneiden zählen unter anderem das Ende des Einstechprozesses, der Schneidabbruch und das Self-burning während des Einstechens dazu.
