Die Projektgruppe ECAD/MCAD Collaboration hat die ProSTEP iViP Recommendation PSI 5 in der Version 1.2 veröffentlicht

Beim Update der Recommendation von Version 1.0 auf die Version 1.2 wurden folgende Erweiterungen vorgenommen:

- Die System- Prozessintegration wurde um die Integration der ECAD/MCAD Kollaborationsprozesse in bestehende PDM/PLM-Umgebungen erweitert. Dazu wurden zusätzliche Use Cases und Rollen spezifiziert und explizit Anforderungen an PDM-Systeme formuliert.
- Auch das ECAD/MCAD-Kollaborationsschema wurde erweitert. So sind jetzt beispielsweise Mechanismen für die Historie und zur Nachvollziehbarkeit, wer die Kollaboration gestartet hat, ein Konzept für eigenständige Nachrichten und auch Möglichkeiten zur Übertragung von Leiterplattenlayouts verfügbar.
- Des weitern werden neue, vereinheitlichte Namespaces verwendet.
