Die neueste Version des PROSTEP PDF Generator 3D wird noch vor Ende des Jahres 2013 auf den Markt kommen. Die Version 4.0 wird im November 2013 fertiggestellt sein und umfasst eine Vielzahl von Verbesserungen und neuen Funktionen für die Erzeugung professioneller 3D-PDF-Dokumente.

Der PDF Generator 3D 4.0 bietet unter anderem das "ModelScript Plug-In" für die Converter Engine. Damit ist der PDF Generator 3D noch flexibler an die unterschiedlichsten Anforderungen anpassbar: man kann beispielsweise nach Attributen, CAD-Elementen und PMI (Product Manufacturing Information) filtern.

Erneut verlängert hat sich die Liste der unterstützten CAD-Formate: jetzt ist auch der Import von Dateien in den
