Waehrend immer noch zahlreiche Zwischenfaelle mit dem, Anfang der Woche erschienen, 'Blaster'-Virus auftreten, warnt der europaeische Antiviren-Spezialist Panda Software vor einem weiteren Wurm. 'RPCSdbot' nutzt die gleiche Schwachstelle von Windows 2000- und XP-Betriebssystemen aus, wie der gefaehrliche Blaster-Wurm.

Die Antivirenexperten von Panda Software warnen daher weiterhin davor, die Windows-Updates nachlaessig zu behandeln. Bereits seit Mitte Juli bietet Microsoft ein Update an, das die Sicherheitsluecke schliesst. Auch sollten alle Anwender ihre Antivirenprogramme mit den aktuellen Virensignaturen aktualisieren.
