• The Peene-Werft shipyard in Wolgast, Germany has been awarded the Innovation and Technology Award 2025 by the Fraunhofer Institute for Large Structures in Production Engineering (IGP) today
• With this award, the institute recognises the successful collaboration on the development of a “seeing robot” for specialised shipbuilding
At the NVL shipyard in Wolgast, an innovative welding system was implemented in cooperation with Fraunhofer IGP. The system operates on the basis of advanced 3D sensor data and generates production programmes independently of conventional design data.
