Der neue Videoplayer basiert auf Silverlight 4, einem kostenlosen, weit verbreiteten Plug-In von Microsoft, das reichhaltige Multimedia- Anwendungen im Internet ermöglicht. Dadurch können maxdome-Nutzer ab sofort unabhängig von ihrer Internetgeschwindigkeit alle Videos in bester Qualität bei gleichzeitig höherer Stabilität genießen.

Darüber hinaus können viele Inhalte auch in hochauflösender HD-Qualität direkt im Browser über den neuen Videoplayer abgerufen werden.
