Lehnkering Steel Transport and Services GmbH and ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt GmbH have signed an agreement to cover future cooperation today.
Lehnkering will take over the warehouse and logistics services for the steel producer in Eisenhüttenstadt from 1 January 2009 onwards. The agreement has a fixed term of five years. The services that have been ordered cover approx. two million tonnes of materials per annum. Among other things, Lehnkering will provide the following services: transporting steel from the production site, in-house logistics, stock-keeping, transferring goods on to trucks and goods wagons and preparing freight papers.
