Die MPC5200 Familie ist aufgrund ihrer hohen Performance bei gleichzeitig geringem Leistungsverbrauch ideal für den Einsatz in Netzwerkapplikationen, Industriesteuerungen und im Automotivebereich geeignet

Lauterbachs TRACE32-PowerDebug Module, das über Parallelport, USB oder Ethernet an den Hostrechner angeschlossen werden kann, ermöglicht über die JTAG Schnittstelle des Controllers einen sehr schnellen Zugriff auf alle chipinternen Einheiten. So wird bei Verwendung des JTAG Interfaces eine Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit von max. 75 KByte/sec und bei Verwendung der Onchip Ethernetschnittstelle sogar eine Transferrate von max. 10 MByte/sec erreicht.
