LAUTERBACH, Hersteller von Mikroprozessor-Entwicklungssystemen, unterstützt ab sofort mit seinen Debuggern TRACE32-ICD und TRACE32-PowerTools auch die Mitglieder der neuen Infineon XE166 Prozessor-Familie. Die XE166 Controller beinhalten einen C166S V2-Core mit unterschiedlicher Peripherie und verschiedenen Onchip FLASH-Speichergrössen sowie einen digitalen Signalprozessor (DSP) und können bis zu einer Taktrate von max. 80 MHz betrieben werden.

Der bereits vorhandene Infineon C166S-V2 Debugger wurde um die neue Prozessorarchitektur für die Infineon XE166 Familie erweitert und ermöglicht -über die im Silizium integrierte Debugschnittstelle- ein komfortables Debugging auf C oder C++ -Ebene. Über diese OCDS-Schnittstelle des Prozessors bekommt der Debugger einen sehr schnellen Zugriff auf alle chipinternen
