Neue Version der Archiv-Middleware liefert optimierte Performance und erweiterten Support für virtuelle Welten

Zur DMS EXPO 2009 präsentieren HP und iTernity gemeinsam die neueste Version ihrer Langzeitarchivlösung an Stand A061/C062 und E081/G080 in Halle 7. Die Archiv-Middleware HP iCAS 3.5 zeichnet sich neben vielfältigen neuen Funktionen dadurch aus, dass sie neben VMware ESX 3.5 nun auch auf den virtuellen Serverlösungen Citrix, XEN, Hyper-V und Vsphere 4 betrieben werden kann. Zu den weiteren Hauptneuerungen der Version gehört zudem ein neuer Modus der Filesystem-Schnittstelle mit optimiertem Multithreading für bessere Performance. Darüber hinaus wurde eine verbesserte Skalierung der Archivgrößen mit MultiPath Namespaces integriert. Die neue Version wurde zusätzlich für bessere Effizienz bei Backup-Prozessen großer Archive optimiert.
