]init[ übergibt Standard XWaffe für zukünftiges Nationales Waffenregister an Bundesministerium des Innern

Der von der ]init[ AG für das Deutschland-Online Vorhaben "Nationales Waffenregister" (NWR) zusammen mit Experten aus den Ländern und Kommunen entwickelte XÖV-Fachstandard XWaffe ist fertiggestellt und veröffentlicht. XWaffe wird die verbindliche Grundlage für die Datenbelieferung des neuen digitalen Waffenregisters durch die rund 570 deutschen Waffenbehörden. Ab 2012 - zwei Jahre früher als von der Europäischen Union vorgeschrieben - werden Behörden mit Ordnungs- und Sicherheitsaufgaben auf die zentral gespeicherten Daten zum Schusswaffenerwerb und -besitz in Deutschland zugreifen können.
