Auf der Website des Kompetenzzentrums neuer Personalausweis - www.ccepa.de - steht seit dem 1. März 2011 ein neuer Broschüren-Dienst bereit, bei dem sich Bürger mit der Online-Ausweisfunktion des neuen Personalausweises einfach und schnell für den Download von Informationsmaterial legitimieren können.

Die von Fraunhofer FOKUS, der ]init[ AG für Digitale Kommunikation und der Bundesdruckerei GmbH realisierte Anwendung demonstriert die Vorteile der Online-Ausweisfunktion gegenüber CAPTCHA-Verfahren zur Authentisierung.
