Imtech Deutschland ist am Umbau des ersten Kreuzfahrtschiffes der TUI Cruises beteiligt. Der Luxusliner "Galaxy" wird ab Mitte März 2009 bei der Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven eindocken und umfangreich für seine neue Aufgabe umgebaut und modernisiert werden. Das Vier-Sterne-Plus- Schiff erhält eine neue Ausstattung der 974 Kabinen, einen SPA- und Fitness- Bereich, neue Restaurants und zusätzliche Balkonkabinen.

Imtech plant und realisiert die gesamte Klima- und Lüftungstechnik für die Umbaubereiche und leistet somit einen großen Beitrag zum Komfort der Gäste und Crew an Bord des Kreuzfahrtschiffes. Die Umbauphase bis zur Taufe am 15. Mai dauert für alle Projektbeteiligte 38 Tage. 30
