Three prestigious IBM Beacon Winner and Finalist's Awards for Imtech

Fritz und Macziol, the German ICT company of the European technical services provider Imtech, won two prestigious IBM Awards and one IBM Finalist's Grant at this year's IBM PartnerWorld Conference. With these awards, also won in 2007 and 2008, Imtech has again demonstrated quality, performance and innovative know-how in all strategic fields of IT along with providing the highest level of customer-orientation.

Imtech (Fritz & Macziol) was winner of the IBM Beacon Award 2009 in the category IBM Services in the area 'Outstanding Collaboration Solutions with IBM Global Technology Services' as well as finalist in the category Dynamic Infrastructure Solutions for 'Outstanding Business Resiliency Solutions'. Additionally, the IBM Information Management Innovation Award 2009 in the category 'Business Intelligence & Performance Management - EMEA Innovative Solutions 2009' went to the company, who has a long-standing certified IBM Business Partner relationship.

The Jury proclaims that the basis for the granting of the IBM Beacon Award 2009 in the category IBM Services is formed by 'the extraordinary partnership and long-standing co-operation between Imtech (Fritz & Macziol) and IBM, as well as the successful solutions resulting from this. Together with partners, the company has developed a customised 'Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)' partnership, which meets all requirements of the customers regarding electronic sourcing solutions, guaranteed safe and (always) available operations with the highest standard for all applications. There is a clear focus on the customer benefits with its product and service portfolio from one source.'

First European certified partner in IBM Dynamic Infrastructure

The Jury was also mentioning that sophisticated risk management is indispensable for IT and rewarded Imtech (Fritz & Macziol) as a finalist in the category Dynamic Infrastructure Solutions for 'Outstanding Business Resiliency Solutions'. 'The company offers a holistic concept for a dynamic computer centre infrastructure considering the latest developments and technology trends with both concrete threat scenarios as well as targeted measures for risk minimisation. In Europe Imtech (Fritz & Macziol) is the first certified partner of the strategic IBM initiative 'Dynamic Infrastructure' in the highest category 'Speciality Elite'.

Business Intelligence as base for strategic decision-making

Imtech (Fritz & Macziol) and its STAS subsidiary also were rewarded for their excellent know-how and solution expertise in the area of Business Intelligence (BI) topics with the IBM Information Management Innovation Award 2009. The company was granted the Award as winner in the category 'Business Intelligence & Performance Management - EMEA Innovative Solutions 2009' with two renowned application examples of the BI solution 'STAS CONTROL', which is based on IBM Cognos. This modular-structured business software solution supports mainly medium-sized companies with their planning, assessment and controlling. All relevant data, performance indicators, key figures and trends can be evaluated according to different criteria and can be considered from different points of view. Thus the companies receive a quick and significant base for their strategic decisions.
