Daimler Truck und Toyota Motor Corporation haben zusammen mit ihren jeweiligen Konzerngesellschaften Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation und Hino Motors, Ltd. endgültige Vereinbarungen zur gleichberechtigten Integration von Mitsubishi Fuso und Hino abgeschlossen.

Mitsubishi Fuso und Hino sollen Tochtergesellschaften einer neuen börsennotierten Holdinggesellschaft mit Sitz in Tokio (Japan) werden, an der Daimler Truck und Toyota perspektivisch jeweils mit 25 % beteiligt sind. Die Holdinggesellschaft soll ein neues japanisches Lkw-Schwergewicht sowie Vorreiter in der Nutzfahrzeuglandschaft im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum und darüber hinaus werden.
