Sie bringen den Nutzer nicht nur schnell von A nach B, sondern informieren ihn lückenlos und aktuell, liefern zuverlässige Prognosen der Verkehrsentwicklung und bieten Zusatztechnologien wie die nahtlose Navigation. Mithilfe des neuen Kodierungsstandards TPEG können Verkehrsinformationen aus unterschiedlichen Quellen zusammengeführt sowie flächendeckend und aktuell über digitale Kanäle wie Internet, Mobilfunk und weitere kabellose Netze verbreitet werden.
