Neue Dimension bei der Strukturüberwachung von Flugzeugteilen

Das Fraunhofer-Institut für Betriebsfestigkeit und Systemzuverlässigkeit LBF präsentiert bei der "Internationalen Luftfahrtausstellung ILA" vom 11. bis 16. September in Berlin zwei Panels aus kohlenstofffaserverstärktem Kunststoff mit integrierter Faseroptik (Halle 3, Stand 3221). Den Darmstädter Ingenieuren ist es gelungen, große CFK-Teile zu entwickeln, zu bauen und mit einer Last von zwanzig Tonnen zu testen. Damit stößt das Institut bei der Strukturüberwachung in neue Dimensionen vor.

Die Luftfahrt wird umweltfreundlicher: Treibstoffverbrauch, Schadstoffemissionen und Lärm sollen dank innovativer Technologien sinken. Dazu entwickeln Fraunhofer-Forscher im EU-Projekt "Clean Sky" neuartige Rumpfstrukturen mit strukturintegrierten Funktionen. Die gezeigten Panels enthalten mehrere Sensoren zur Überwachung der Strukturen,
